I got a Twitter. \:I

Mostly gonna be a lot of me being stupid with my buddies but I'll also let you guys know what I'm working on through TwitPic. And on the subject of pics, my Photobucket is now set to Public. But I've disabled access to the sketch pages of the Kanasta comic; you bitches gotta wait for that shit. I'll re-enable it later.

So that blasted got me with this journal meme yet again. I think this is the third time I've done this now? Have I run out of ways to answer these?? Well, let's just look at a few things running through my mind right now.

1. I only just noticed the little cake icon in the top right corner of my page... Well, it's no lie. I will be celebrating my birthday on September the 9th. Sounds like some kinda weird prophecy, doesn't it? On the ninth day of the ninth month of the ninth year of the new millenium, the Chazen One shall attain unimaginable power spanning two decades...

2. Anyone notice my icon put on the pounds? It's the same basic design, but I've refined it some to reflect a fuller, more rounded shape. This is the design I'll be sticking with, not quite as sharp as the last. More attractive this way, no?

3. I got a new tablet recently as you may have read on my last submission. It's given me a little bit of trouble... But apparently, as long as I don't touch Windows Live's Handwrite feature to draw something, I should be okay, since that seems to be triggering this very irksome little glitch in which each stroke attempts to be read as a right-click... Be wary, Bamboo-users.

4. I'll go on and say this right now... I really don't know when this comic will be completed. I said February initially under the premise that I'd be using a very swift inking method, but this one is far more meticulous in nature and demands a careful touch. And I'm such a perfectionist that one page can take me a month just to ink. I'm only completing page six right now, out of ten. And then I have to tone it, panel it, and add text. Besides all that, my style is undergoing changes as I work on it, so I've ended up completely redrawing a few panels from the original sketch. I thought I'd have the completed product up before I turned twenty, but I don't see that happening. Please be patient. I can only hope the wait will be worth it. *awaits replies of "What comic?"*

5. My job just started paying me bi-weekly. I dunno what to think about that. Bigger payments are nice, but I'm getting the money all at once rather than once a week in the smaller amounts. Maybe I'll get plenty of birthday cash to compensate~?

6. Running out of things to say... Ermmm... Oh, anyone think I should do any fanart one day soon? I'm playing the Ace Attorney series through again, so I'm certainly considering that. Maybe Maya again, or Franziska, or that adorably helpless Adrian Andrews. Or would you prefer more original content? Looks like Lilliana may have to show off her tootsies more often, according to those poll results... Lemme know what you'd wanna see, it may "spur" me.

7. I haven't been excited to see any movies in like, fifteen years. The last one was probably The Lion King. But with the recent theater release of Hayao Miyazaki's latest, Ponyo, I'm about to jump out of my seat just to get a ticket. But there's only one theater within forty miles of this little city that's playing it, and of course, nooo idea how to get there. and I still plan to go see it, hopefully with if she can work it into her schedule. Wish us the best of luck that we can see it before the theater decides to pull it!!

8. I wrote a story some time ago, yanno, featuring my characters in their timeline. It was written to celebrate Mother's Day for my girl Kanasta, who learned a certain truth about her own mother. But I refrained from sharing it on dA, because I thought it might give away too much about her, more than I thought people ought to know just yet. But really, looking back, it's not all that bad since I keep sharing little tidbits and hints with everything I post. Hell, I already showed you Ku's face. But I also doubt many of you would read it in the first place. I guess it does kinda introduce a "new character", but I don't think we'd see a whole lot of her, what with her "condition". What do you think, though? Should I post it one day soon, or wait until Mother's Day 2010 to share, as was my original intention? It may mean longer to wait, but it could be more meaningful if shared nearer to the holiday. Depends on how patient you guys are.

I find it hard to believe people aren't swarming to this account. It's the one and only Cheshire Cat! The very same man you knew from way-back-when who mingled in the TK community among such artists as Poisonous Monkey, Ozzy, and Scamwich! And he's come a long way! Cheshire and I met through the first edition of the S4 project, to which I was invited as a guest artist and newcomer to the scene. I think it really helped me get out there, so I have to thank him for that. He's also a terrific guy with a great personality. Thanks for everything, man.

Who the hell is this girl? She's certainly not a part of the TK community. But she is my friend. My best friend Sara, in fact. She lives right here in Owensboro, KY just a few blocks from my house, and we've been tight ever since high school. Sara's definitely a unique one with an art style unlike anything I've ever seen, constantly evolving and rarely consistent, but still appealing and enjoyable to look at. That said, she has been sweet enough to draw me some gift art on occasion, and it's always a pleasant surprise. Those of you with eclectic taste in artwork, I urge you to give her stuff a look.

Maybe shining the spotlight on an already renowned artist is redundant, but, who gives a shit? I don't!! June's been a sweetie to me ever since we first met, and we hit it off so well, I believe, thanks to a certain purple-haired rocker of mine you know today as Regina Venus. Since then she and I have done our share of art for one another, though I'm pretty sure she's done more for me than I have her, which I intend to make up for in due time. I already have ideas~ I showcase her here because she's been nothing but an excellent friend to me in the juuust shy of a year that I've known her, and I only hope things get better between us. She's a dear~

I bet this icon's shown up a little too often in my gallery lately, hasn't it? Link may not be an "artist" under the definition you're most aware of, but he is a writer all the same, and he does what he does for the pure purpose of having fun. I'd say that qualifies as an artist, when you express yourself through any medium. The creator of the one and only Tsu-maru, you ought to be sure you give this guy's work a look. He's begun a second season of his Mahou Shoujo Kusuguru Tsu-maru series, so what's stopping you? Get caught up and enjoy! _{My apologies for the cruddy thumbnails, it can't be helped D:}

I'm sure a great deal of you are familiar with Ross and his work. He's done more giftart for me than I can name in a single sitting and definitely deserves his share of thanks. In fact, I only discovered him because of a piece of gift art he had drawn for me, without ever telling me about it! Since then we've socialized and gotten better acquainted, and he's now a very dear friend of mine, despite his silly attitude on more than one occasion You're like a brother to me, Ross. I'm happy to talk with you as often as I do, and more than happy to show your stuff off here



Annnd I suppose that's it for now. I hope some of you discovered something new there!

Before anyone asks, YES, I'm still working on the comic!! I took a different approach to inking this thing than I probably should have, but it's far cleaner than any other method, so in the end, it shall be a testament of my hard work! And slacking off! Yeees, because I'm a lazy bastard if ever you knew one!

That's what you wanted to hear, right? Just hold your horses, people. It will come. I have a promise to keep. _{And a reputation to bring back D;}

After I pay insurance this month on my car, I'm going to have juuust over $100 in my checking account. Suck. So I went down to have my taxes done today, hoping to see just how big a return I could get. Brought my W-2's along and all that necessary stuff. Admittedly I didn't focus much on that, seeing as the girl helping me through it was absolutely adorable and within my age range. But my eye immediately turned to the task at hand when she went through all the forms and calculated just how much money I'd be getting back. And here it is...



$1,179!?! WHERE DID ALL THAT SUDDENLY COME FROM. I accumulated that much extra throughout the year?? SWEET JESUS, THERE IS A GOD. And as you can see by her note, I ought to be getting all this back by the twentieth! HOT DAMN!! I feel better already!

Well now, onto the aforementioned "other updates"...

Been wondering whatever happened to that comic I asked you guys about? Not to worry, it's being inked now. But it's taken me some time to work on it at all, since my computer's situated in the living room in my house where everyone can see it from just about every angle. But I have good news! I recently received a "new" computer from my great-uncle, one of my very own. This one's situated in my bedroom, so I have a new level of privacy to myself and my artwork. YES. It's also got a massive 25" widescreen monitor. That's 1920x1200 pixels. Just how huge is that?

The workspace for Photoshop is so wide I'm practically drooling. And with this new privacy, I should hopefully be more productive. I may have failed to have the comic completed in February like previously stated, due to the location of my computer and the method I've chosen to ink it. But March? Well I damn sure hope so. Any later and I'm gonna be downright ashamed of myself.

More is on the way besides the comic, as well. Haven't you seen my webcam lately~?

I honestly have to admit, I never imagined who would end up getting the most votes in my recent poll. I was seriously expecting more of you guys to vote for Regina or D, and wouldn't you know it, but those two are actually tied.. for LAST!! The winner of the poll is, in fact...

Kanasta d'Alegría!

The poll ended with Kanasta being just shy of having a third of the vote, making her the winner. Admittedly, I'm actually flattered! Kanasta's been my number one girl from the beginning, here since I started the account, and from the way it looks, enough of you people actually care to see more of her! But since I'm so pleased with the results, I've decided to make this occasion extra special. As of right now, I've started on the sketch for the third page of the comic. And it isn't the last, by far. I'm expecting this comic to end up with at least ten pages by the time it reaches a conclusion! I can't promise tickles on every page, but there's quite a bit of feet to be seen right from the start, so I don't think you'll be disappointed! It's not like I've got many work hours lately, so I'll be drawing more to this every chance I get. We ought to see it up here and completed in February!

For those of you who voted for any of the other four, you shouldn't feel bad about it, not yet. Their day will come, I promise you. For everyone who voted, you have my thanks.
