YEEES. The gods have smiled upon me this year, and allowed me to do what I could not last year. I was able to get Kanasta's tickle piece into the final project!! I was so disappointed when last year, my favorite piece out of the entire project, and in my opinion the one that came out looking the best, was not completed in time. This very image nearly saw the same fate. But in a turn of events both unfortunate and not, I was given the time to complete work on this, which, while the smallest of all the images, a single-page piece, took the most work. I have never worked with a pose like this, so bear with the anatomy if you see any problems. I did what I could, though, and I enjoy the turnout. The background didn't have much effort exerted, to be honest, but then, I hate backgrounds. It's amazing that I can be so proud of the Cali/Regina piece for it's background, but this one, not so much. I was in a rush to complete this before it was too late, and to be perfectly honest, this was only completed not three days ago I told you I had a late entry. That's why the two girls in back had to be speedpainted. I'm sure Sammi's a familiar character to you all. I wanted to give her a face that was more or less confused envy. So close, yet so far.. I'm sure she'd enjoy Kanasta's position

But, I also want to apologize to ~Livingdeadguy, a unique artist involved this year who worked hard on several pieces, but could not complete them because he could not color them. He managed to include both Kanasta and Lilliana into two of his pieces, and in return, I wanted to include his character Aye into this last piece. However, I was urged by CC not to do this, as the character had already gotten a great deal of attention in the project. Instead, I drew Spellbinder, an obscure character entered in by one ~Hahathna. Those of you in the community should recognize his name. You also must have heard the heartbreaking news. Hahathna was found dead of a heart attack, leaving us with several great characters for a new project he was beginning himself, but was unable to start, even prevented from getting as many pieces in for the S4 project as we had hoped. I will admit that I was never a big fan of his work, because I saw it when he was still learning. However, his new cast of characters held an intrigue about them that I was captivated by very quickly. Hearing of his death was shocking. You really underestimate how hard it can hit until it happens, that we're all safe. I pray he's in a better place now, and that what we've done for him this year was enough.
